Aerial fireworks legalized in Pennsylvania

Local News

The Fourth of July might get a little brighter in your neighborhood next summer.

According to the Pocono Record, the state legislature quietly passed a new law that makes aerial fireworks legal for Pennsylvania residents.  The new law makes it possible for you to buy the same high octane fireworks only out-of-staters could buy in the past.

Buyers will pay a 12% fireworks tax on top of sales tax, which will go into a fund for first responders.
