Albion residents asked to reduce water use by at least 10 percent

Local News

Water levels in Albion are reaching critically low levels, so much that residents now face a mandatory reduction in water use.

Those residents are being told to reduce water use by at least 10 percent.

The reason is simple: Demand is pulling more water out of the wells than mother nature is putting back and a little rain isn’t going to help.

“Recent rainfall events have not aided in the replenishment of the aquifers and a small amount of rain won’t get us through this, will not get us out of this critical situation,” Albion Mayor Jason White said.
