Allegheny Health Network and Saint Vincent Hospital Talks Future of Medicine at annual meeting

A meeting of minds on the future of medicine in the region on upper Peach Street.

Allegheny Health Network and Saint Vincent Hospital showcased some of their upcoming projects and treatment options at their annual meeting. From the two new centers dedicated to women’s health on their main campus to the Wellness Pavilion in Harbor creek, the group says they’re expanding to fit the needs of the region.The new cancer cancer center opening in 2019 also on the agenda, with automated breast ultrasound as part of their diagnostics upgrade.

“It’s the first of its kind in this region and its additional screening technology for female patients to better identify abnormalities of the breast,” said Dr. Chris Clark, President of Allegheny Health Network and Saint Vincent Hospital.

The program also included presentations of cutting edge robotic surgical systems and the procedures provided with them.
