A poker run benefiting a foundation that helps those battling epilepsy roared off Sunday.

The Leader of Men RC Rider’s Club in Erie hosted the third annual AJO Pay it Forward poker run.

The ride brings in more than 400 bikers and thousands of dollars for the AJO Forever Foundation.

The foundation was started nearly three years ago after Alyssa Josephine O’neill passed away.

The goal of the foundation is to help raise awareness and money for people in need who are battling epilepsy.

Sarah O’Neill says, “They’ve embraced us, they’re a great community of people. They give back so much time, so much money. What the biker community does is fantastic, not just for us but for lots local charities.”

Jason O’Neill says, “I think it’s amazing to see this many people in our community come out and support something that’s so special to us.”

The poker run included five stops ending back at the club with a picnic and a party.
