It’s another record-setting week of paying it forward! This time, the money will help a Harborcreek couple honor a loved one who recently passed away.
This week, the clues took the JET24 FOX66 Lakeside Auto Pay it Forward Truck to Ironworkers Local #3 in Harborcreek. That’s where Jim and Pat Heidicker drew the high card. The couple lost Pat’s mom just two weeks ago after nine years at Brevillier Village, a perfect chance to give back for the loving care she received.
Pat says, “We just felt they were building a chapel and we wanted to contribute to it if we were lucky enough to win the Pay It Forward”.
Lakeside Auto’s normal $300 would be matched by Roofers Local 210, but when last week’s $1,000 record was announced, the challenge was set, and a combination of unions helped raise a whopping $1,550 for the Brevillier Chapel Fund.
Scott Johnson of Roofers Local 210 tells us, “When I saw last week they had the record that actually did inspire me and that’s why I placed the calls out to the other locals trying to get just a little bit more”.
And, Andy Gabler of Lakeside Auto says, “I’d personally like to thank the painter’s union, the electrical union, the roofer’s union, VFW Post 470, Highmark also came in with a large donation, these people have come together and also want to Pay It Forward and to inspire others to want to Pay It Forward”.
Welcome news for those fundraising for Brevillier’s new chapel.
Cindi Sebolt of Brevillier Village tells us they’re “excited that we’re the largest donation received with the funds going to the Ball Pavilion Chapel Fund and we hope to break ground in the fall and be finished in about a year”.
A fitting memorial from daughter to mom, with this week’s Pay it Forward…
