Nearly 1,000 colorful, unique quilts are on display at the Bayfront Convention Center. The annual ‘Quilting on the Bayfront’ event is back.
The main attraction is, of course, the beautiful quilts made locally. Quilting experts are sharing their knowledge and their love of the craft. Vendors and special guest speakers also traveling into Erie from across the nation.
Judy Fenton, Coordinator of Quilting on the Bayfront says, “It’s beautiful eye candy, even if you’re not a quilter or you don’t like to sew, it’s just beautiful to look at and to appreciate the art that everybody has.”
A number of groups are making quilts to give back to the community. ‘Project Linus’ donating their quilts to sick children and ‘Quilts of Valor’ giving back to veterans.
Quilting on the Bayfront runs through Saturday and tickets can be purchased on-site.
