Asbury Woods holds annual craft festival

Local News

McDowell High School became a vendor’s market for holiday shoppers.  Thousands of people spent the weekend at the annual Asbury Woods Craft Festival.

Shoppers could find anything from jewelry to furniture.  This event is the main fundraiser for Asbury Woods.  Kelley Lang, Education Manager Asbury Woods Partnership, says, “We rely on this event as one of our primary ways of supporting the fact that the nature center is free and open to the public almost 365 days a year.  And, without the support of the revenue that we get from the craft festival, we wouldn’t be able to do that.”

More than 120 premier crafters sold their products at the festival this year.
