For the first time ever, officials with Erie City and County Government are holding a town hall meeting to address challenges faced within the city’s Asian-American and Pacific Islander community.
For Tiffany Chang Lawson who serves as a member Governor Wolf’s Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, this meeting has been in the works for nearly 2 years. “We’ve actually been engaging in this Town Hall initiative for 21 months. This is our 13th across the commonwealth.” She expresses why these meetings are so important. “Its really important for us to really be a part of the fabric of the city. And so part of that is encouraging this kind of civic dialogue and having the opportunity to have this platform for engagement.”
