The Erie Bayhawks showed their respect to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in their own special way. The team wore custom designed MLK jerseys during Saturday night’s game.
The gesture has gotten attention from ESPN and other sports outlets. The jerseys were designed by Lancaster Artist Ceasar Westbrook, who wanted his designs to get attention. “It makes me feel really good; I worked hard. I just want my talents to go as far as they possibly can so this has definitely been a blessing and I’ve just been enjoying every minute of it. “
The jerseys are now being auctioned off to benefit Erie’s MLK Center.
