Judge John Trucilla has issued a bench warrant for a Pittsburgh-based attorney after he failed to show up for a client’s sentencing on Tuesday.
Ryan Andrews was set to be sentenced Tuesday morning after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated assault for his involvement in the shooting death of Tobiah Johnson outside of an apartment building near Edinboro University in 2014.
Andrews’ attorney, Ralph Karsh, did not appear for the sentencing, leading Trucilla to issue a 72-hour bench warrant.
The Trucilla rescheduled the hearing for Wednesday at 9 a.m. where the contempt will be discussed.
Andrews could spend up to 20 years in prison.
