The efforts to diminish violence in the Erie community continue tonight.
The Benedictine Sisters hosting a Silent Peace Walk this evening to bring awareness to violence in the city. These peace walks have been going on throughout the erie community to remind everyone peace is possible. One participant says she attended in hopes of finding peace in her own heart in order to spread peace to the world during her upcoming service trip to Haiti.
"I thought it was really moving to be able to spend that time in silent reflection instead of the craziness of our busy college lives running from one event to the next event," said first time participant Melissa Bronder.
The Benedictine Sisters have another walk planned for next month.
