Dozens of people walk in solidarity and silence to promote peace.
The Benedictines for Peace holding a silent walk for peace tonight along the Bayfront Promenade. The walk starting and ending at Bayview Park lasting about 20 minutes and including people of all ages. Organizers say the walk promotes peace and unity in the world.
“It’s really a prayer practice to pray for peace in our own hearts, in our neighborhoods, and in the world,” said Anne McCarthy, coordinator of Benedictines for Peace.
The July Silent Peace Walk will be on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at the Perry Monument in Presque Isle State Park.
