Erie Police are used to manhunts… but a bear hunt?
That’s what happened this morning when reports came in of a black bear sighting. The surveillance video was sent in by one of our viewers. It was taken around 3:30 this morning at West 32nd and Greengarden.
Erie Police joined in the action shortly after six in the morning when they started receiving calls of a sighting at East 38th and Old French Road. Other sightings called in included East 36th and Old French and East 38th and Elliot.
The bear was eventually caught in Millcreek. Conservation officers shot the bear with a tranquilizer and rehomed the animal.
