State Police and the Erie County Coroner’s Office are investigating what led to the death of a woman found at a Summit Township motel.

Police were called to the Motel 6 on Schultz Road early this morning for an initial report of a possible assault. When they arrived, they found the body of a 36-year-old woman. But, a spokesperson with the coroner’s office says there are no signs of foul play.

The identity of the woman is being withheld while family members are notified.

No autopsy is planned and the coroner is withholding his ruling until toxicology results are returned.
