Body recovered from Allegheny River identified

WARREN — Following an autopsy performed by the Erie County Medical Examiner, the Department of Police for the City of Warren has identified the body found in the Allegheny River last Friday as 55-year-old Mr. John Christopher Nelson.

Nelson had been missing since Feb. 5th, and the autopsy revealed drowning was the cause of death. No foul play is suspected and the investigation into this incident is now closed.
