Border Patrol agent faces charges in road rage incident

Local News

ERIE, Pa. — A Border Patrol agent faces charges following an accident in which he hit two cars and struck a person with his vehicle in February.

The agent, identified as Norman Antuzzi, 43, of Millcreek Township, was charged and faces 13 misdemeanor summary charges for a road rage case.

The apparent road rage case started with a fender bender between a Subaru Impreza and another vehicle on Young Road. The Impreza then struck the other car a second time before continuing on to the intersection of Old French and Arbuckle roads.

The vehicle then struck a van twice there. When the 83-year old van driver got out and tried to open the Impreza door the driver swung the door open, knocking the man down, then left, running over his foot.

The van driver and his wife were both taken to the hospital.

A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 21.
