Boy collects over 200 new books to donate

MILLCREEK TWP, Pa. — A local fifth-grader came up with an idea to give back during the holidays.

Caiden Chase, a student at Corry Elementary, told his mother that he wanted to help other children this year by giving away books. His mom, then, posted a video to Facebook and raised over $500 in four days.

They were able to purchase more than 200 books for the Achievement Center, a nonprofit organization in Millcreek Township that provides therapeutic services to children and families.

Usborne Books provided a 50-percent match for the funds raised. All of the books will be distributed to the Achievement Center’s clients during the holiday season.
