While you may want your Christmas tree to last until Christmas Day, it doesn’t take more than a few days of neglect to dry out a fresh one.
Experts say the best thing to do when you take y9our tree home is to give it a fresh cut, put it immediately in water, and check on it daily. Make sure you water it regularly during the first three to four days. You can also put a product called “Prolong” in the water which acts as a preservative for the trees.

Make sure you don’t put the tree anywhere near a heat source.
