Carly Abbate has assumed the dual role of Director of Industrial Services for the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier and Chautauqua County Coordinator for ‘Dream It, Do It’ Western New York.
Ms. Abbate has a Bachelor’s Degree in business management from Gannon University and an Associate’s Degree from Jamestown Community College. She has worked in a variety of settings over the past several years, most recently as a sales associate with Chautauqua Marina and an intern involved in stadium operations for the Jamestown Jammers. She was an assembly line team member at Cummins, Inc. for several summers, where she participated in a five step organizational system to reach daily and weekly goals.
The Director of Industrial Services and DIDI Coordinator provides support services to members of the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier (MAST) and manage projects in support of the Dream It Do It (DIDI) manufacturing workforce development initiative. Services include outreach to MAST members, working with both manufacturers and educational institutions in the region to coordinate mutually beneficial programs and events, public presentations, and more.
MAST Executive Director and President/CEO of the Dream It Do It, Todd Tranum said, “We are excited to have Carly join our team. We look forward to her leadership as we continue to develop workforce and implement solutions to the challenges faced by manufacturers in the region.”
Ms. Abbate said, “I have known what it’s like to search for a direction in a career path and can provide insight to those who are doing the same. MAST and DIDI are providing important services here in our community and I look forward to working with students, manufacturers, educators, and local officials to help create a workforce for the future here in our region.”
