Carr pleads guilty to attempted murder after being accused of slitting woman’s throat

A man charged with slitting a woman’s throat enters a plea in court.

35-year-old Lynard Carr was arrested in May after police were called to Edinboro Road for a domestic incident.  That’s where investigators found a 37-year-old woman with a serious cut in her throat. 

The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Today, Carr pleaded guilty to attempted homicide, possession of a weapon, and simple assault.  He could face nearly 50 years behind bars.  

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on April 15th.
