The 21st annual Catholic Charities Ball “Light the Way” dazzled the Bayfront Convention Center tonight.
The annual ball serves as a fundraiser.
The proceeds benefit affiliates of the 13-county Diocese of Erie that work to help people in need.
Bishop Lawrence Persico says the ball isn’t just for raising money, but also to say thanks to the people who support and make the work done possible.
Persico says, “It’s important to say thank you to people who support us and to honor them. And also it keeps an awareness among the people of our needs to help assist in taking care of the poor and those who are in need.”
Our Leanna Stuck earned runner up in the Celebrity Dance Contest this year.
Also news director Lou Baxter MC’d the dance competition.
