Channellock building in Meadville catches fire

Local News

Fire breaks out in the Channellock building in Meadville sending multiple crews from around the region rushing to put out the flames.

Workers inside the building reporting the fire around nine last night.  Multiple fire departments arrived at the facility to find smoke and fire coming from the top of the building.  Chief Evan Hasko of the Meadville City Fire Department says, “Crews got on the roof. Opened up the roof and used the fire canon to extinguish the flames. The fire was actually between the metal roofing and the wood support for the exhaust fan that was on the roof.”

Fire officials say the fire appeared to be accidental.  No one was injured.
