Most of us might be hoping for some warmer temperatures this weekend, but not everybody. In Conneaut Lake, they are looking forward to a little chill with their chili, for the 3rd Annual Ice House Festival.
Ice carvers will be creating a sliding board, a full-sized throne, and a sculpture of a bald eagle fishing in Conneaut Lake, but the main event is a cookoff that will have a little help from Action News.
Sandy Eldridge, of the Ice House Festival Event Committee, says, “We’re going to have a chili cookoff from noon until three over at Station 3 and we have competing restaurants in the local area they’re turning up the heat for us and we’re going to have a celebrity taster and that’s Lou Baxter from TV 24”.
The festival will begin Saturday at 10am, rain, shine, or even warm temperatures.
