Chinese woman remains in custody as investigators release their findings

Local News

New developments in the arrest of the Chinese woman accused of lying her way past two secret service checkpoints at Mar-a-Lago.

Prosecutors say that when investigators searched Yujing Zhang’s hotel room, they discovered a device used to detect hidden cameras along with nine thumb drives, five SIM cards for cell phones, and more than $8,000 in US and Chinese currency.

A secret service agent testified that when he plugged one of the thumb drives into his computer, it immediately tried to download into his system and install files.

Zhang remains in custody. She’s expected back in court next week.
