City and County Landbanks agree to share funds to acquire 20 blighted properties

Local News

The City of Erie Landbank Board approved a corporation agreement with the county.

The Erie County Landbank Board had already approved their end of the deal.  Unlike the City Landbank, the County Landbank is allotted money every year.  This agreement essentially means that the two will share funds.  In this case, the funds will allow the city to acquire 20 blighted properties.

Once they acquire the properties, they’ll determine if rehabilitation is possible.
