The City of Erie will conduct traffic studies on three of the city’s east side streets.
Erie City Council approved a resolution Wednesday to request the City Traffic Engineer to conduct a study on the possible need for more signage on Parade Street, between E. 14th and E. 16th streets.
A study would also be conducted to provide recommendation to improve traffic flow at intersections on E. 33rd and E. 34th streets at Ash Street and Pine Avenue.
Erie City Council President Cas Kwitowski said, “Since these two, I’ve received phone calls about intersections on the west side of town, also. I think that it’s prudent that every once in while we look at these intersections and see if they’re meeting the needs of today.”
Upon completion of the studies, the City Traffic Engineer would present findings to the council.
