The city’s annual large-item pickup gets underway this weekend.
Beginning Sunday night, on your scheduled trash night, you can put out one large item to be picked up each week.
Couches, chairs and other household items are among those accepted. However, things like tires, appliances and electronics will not be picked up.
City officials urge residents not to put items out more than 24 hours before your neighborhoods collection night.
If you have tires and electronics to recycle, the city has a separate collection day for those items. This year it’s May 6 at the municipal garage, 1926 Holland St.
