Collegiate Academy expands Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School

ERIE, Pa – Schools often turn to arts and music programs when cutting their budgets, but one local school is expanding their performing arts program. 

Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy is giving their students who enjoy art, music, and performing the opportunity to apply for their expanded magnet program. 
 
In addition to taking their regular academic classes, they’ll be participating in special performing arts electives. 
 
Bea Habursky, Assistant Superintendent at Erie School District, explains they’re looking for, “Someone who really enjoys music, art, or performing and if they have any past history at any of their schools where they’ve done that. Or if they’ve done that independently.”
 
Any student entering grades 9-12 at Collegiate Academy can apply online before Friday the 16th, by following the process in the link below:
