The happiest 5K in the world made its annual stop in Downtown Erie Saturday.
It’s an explosion of color for the third annual Color Run in Erie.
More than 5,000 people put their laces to the pavement Saturday morning in the tropi-color themed fun run.
Around $15,000 raised from this year’s color run will benefit the Humane Society of North Western Pennsylvania.
Bawol says, “To see people rally together to come and make an event happen for the community is one thing. But to have people say you know what, this is benefiting the Humane Society, too, so we want to come out and help make that happen. It’s awesome, and I couldn’t thank you enough to the Erie community.”
Bawol says the money will help provide everything from medical needs all the way down to the little things like fixing automatic water dishes.
