A project that provides homegrown fruits and vegetables to Erie’s immigrant community is getting larger.
It’s the Community Garden at the Multicultural Resource Center. Sponsored by the Center and Ameri-Health, the garden gives adults a taste of home and gives kids a chance to try new things.
Nancy Fahey of Ameri-Health Pennsylvania tells us, “Having the garden here for them really allows us the ability to introduce them to new fruits and vegetables as they’re growing and experiment with what they might like or not like”.
The garden began in 2016 and has grown to the point where an expansion became necessary this year.
