US Representative Glenn Thompson visited Penn State Behrend and joined local leaders in a roundtable discussion.
The Congressman toured the college’s Innovation Commons Lab and met with Chancellor Ralph Ford and the presidents of Edinboro, Gannon, and Mercyhurst Universities. The roundtable discussion focused on job creation, economic development and university collaboration.
Thompson says what’s important is the “learning environment, the environment that encourages the development of innovation, and partnering … actually partnering… with the other institutions of higher learning that do the same type of thing and then bringing to the table entrepreneurs”.
And the Congressman, a Penn State Main grad., also praised the Behrend campus for the many programs available to students.
