Roadwork could slow down your commute over the summer months.
Construction is set to begin on Route 97 today. Work starts at its intersection with Route 19 and heads north about five miles, ending near Marsh Road.
Today also marks the first day of work on Iroquois Avenue. That three-mile project stretches from Nagle Road to the intersection with Route 20. The contract cost is about $2.6 million and will be paid for with state funds.
Work should be done by August 31st. Detours are not Expected.
