‘Country Fair Cares’ revealing two new programs aimed at helping local non-profits.
Country Fair is kicking off their ‘Country Fair Cares’ campaign across all of their Erie County locations. The convenience chain has chosen five local non-profits to partner with; The Anna Shelter, Emma’s Footprints, ServErie, the Crime Victim Center, and Meals on Wheels.
Marketing Manager Stacy Kline tells us, “Country Fair has been a part of the Erie community for 54 years and we always try giving back to as many charitable organizations as we can”.
And the convenience store chain will be doing just that by putting $50,000 in the pool to start with.
“We have guaranteed each organization $10,000 and we hope with the support of the Erie Community we can raise that money even more for them.”
If you want to join in on the program, just find the pump that says ‘Pump for Charity’. There, two cents from each gallon will be used towards the program.
Ruth Thompson from the Anna Shelter says they are honored to be a part of the inaugural event.
“There is a Country Fair pretty much on every corner, so we want to be that much involved in the community. We’re really excited that they see our the mission, believe it and want to make us apart of it. We’re excited to about it.”
Organizers from Emma’s Footprints say this donation will help them to carry on their mission, saying, “the money we receive will allow us to say, ‘yes,’ to every grieving family that experiences a pregnancy or infant loss. It will help to cover the cost of a burial/cremation, headstone, counseling or care package and allow us to walk beside the family on their journey through grief.”
The other program to raise funds is ‘Coffee Days’. Country Fairs will host select days where 50 cents of every cup is donated to the program.
The charity pumps will run from now until September 30th. Coffee Days will take place on May 31st, July 26th, and September 27th.
If you know a non-profit that would like to apply for the Country Fair Cares program for 2020, the deadline is October 15th.
