County Council may hold back pay raises

Local News
Councilman Ed Dimattio put  forth an ordinance so that county council will  hold any  pay increases or merit pay raises  until they receive  the findings from the financial pay plan investigation committee at the end of June.  He says county department heads will frequently  request  raises for certain individuals within their department.

He says  sometimes the departments want to go over and above what the county’s  personnel code calls for as far as salaries. There has not been an upgrade to the personnel code since 1985.

County Council hired  Felice and Associates from Greensburg Pennsylvania to assess the appropriate payment amounts for county positions.  Council will vote on this on Tuesday.  The results will be finalized from Felice and Associates at the end of June.
