Craft Beer Week hits the Lake Erie Ale Trail once again

Local News

Craft beer lovers are indulging on the Lake Erie Ale Trail.

Local breweries and enthusiasts are celebrating the beverages during American Craft Beer Week.  According to the Brewers Association, the sales volume of beer overall was down last year, but sales of craft beer were up by 5%.

Just two months ago, Lavery Brewing Company’s Assistant Brewer, Logan Hartpence, moved to Erie from Kansas for a job in the region’s growing craft beer scene.  He tells us, “I think it’s just like people–that whole movement of wanting to be more local, buy local, and have that ability to know the people that are making the product that you are buying.”
