Gallery night is a community-wide art event which unites 18 establishments with the art museum for a night of free art.
One of those establishments is the Crime Victim Center of Erie. About a half-dozen artists will have their work displayed. The art pieces were made throughout the summer during the mid-day dance break hosted by the city’s parks and recreation department.
“For us it’s about healing. It’s about creating a healing source as well. So, it’s really all across the board. Lots of interpretive art, realistic things, water colors, oil paintings, lots of different mediums and it’s just very exciting for us to be a part of this night,” said Executive Director of the Crime Victim Center Paul Lukach.
This is the fifth year the crime victims center has participated in gallery night in partnership with local artists
