Today, Veterans Miracle Center Erie (VMCE) is inviting area automobile enthusiasts to showcase their prized or classic vehicles in support of area Veterans.

The event will take place May 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Veterans Miracle Center Erie located at 1573 West 39th Street in Erie, PA.  In case of inclement weather, the rain date is June 2, 2016 at the same time. The first 100 cars will receive a free Veterans Miracle Center dash plate.

In addition to the vehicle showcase, the event will include a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction. Delicious BBQ will be available for purchase, catered by Three B Saloon.  There will be music provided by DJ Bill Mason.

There is no cost to attend the event. VMCE is simply asking attendees to bring new donation items, such as towels, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, pots, pans, and silverware. All donated items will go to local area Veterans in need.

Summer is almost here and this cruise-in event is a great way for folks to get their most prized vehicles out of storage and showcase them with other fellow enthusiasts, said  Veterans Miracle Center Erie Director John Kowalczyk. Even more importantly, this will be a great way to show our appreciation and support to local Veterans that are in need of some of the most basic living supplies that many of us take for granted.

·         13% of all homeless adults are Veterans
·         Over 60,000 Veterans are homeless on any given night
·         1.5 million Veterans are at risk due to poverty, lack of support, or dismal housing

Veterans Miracle Center Erie is a 501(c)3 housed in a military-style exchange, providing basic life necessities such as new clothing, hygiene products, paper supplies, new housewares and new/gently used furniture to homeless, at-risk and low income Veterans in Erie, Crawford, Warren and Venango counties of Pennsylvania.
