ERIE, Pa. — Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper said things are moving in the right direction as she addressed the State of the County on Tuesday.
Dahlkemper said that Erie County is progressing forward with the creation of many future plans including Emerge 2040 and the Comprehensive Plan.
Dahlkemper cited that there has been much more collaboration between departments since her administration took office.
However, she says, job growth is a continuing issue for the area stating county government is working to make Erie County a more job-sustaining region.
“Jobs is the number one issue,” Dahlkemper said. “And how do we help support job growth in our community and county government and other government we don’t create the jobs but what we do is create the culture or atmosphere to set the table for the private entities to come in and bring those jobs and we are working every day through that.”
