Another sign that summer is almost here is taking over Perry Square this week. It involves ribs, so of course, David Belmondo is all over it.
He joined us live from Perry Square where the Wild Rib Cook-off is set to get underway later today.
Erie’s Wild Rib Cook-off and Music Festival starts this morning at 11, bringing with it the savory smell of barbecue that will soon take over downtown Erie.
The four-day event will run through Saturday and will feature eight touring rib teams, live music, and the Rib Kidz Fun Zone. The grill masters include Armadillo’s, Carolina Rib King, Jack on the Bone, Fine Smoke, Pigfoot Barbecue Sauce Cooking Team, Mojo’s Rib Shack, Pork Brothers BBQ, and festival newcomer Blazin’ Bronco BBQ.
Other food and merchandise vendors will also set up during the event. Local bands and musicians will play nightly from the main stage.
Erie’s 26th Annual Wild Rib Cook-off and Music Festival runs today and tomorrow from 11am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm. It happens around Perry Square in downtown Erie.
It’s free admission, but Ride-a-Ribba-Ramma passes are $10-$15.
