A community staple celebrates its place in history. It’s the 100th anniversary for the Erie Playhouse. Today is day two of the organizations weekend-long festival.
Community members celebrate with a street fair on West 10th Street. Volunteers tell us many theaters across the country have been forced to close but there’s something special about the playhouse that keeps it open.
“It’s not just a theater. It’s a family and it’s a special organization and the people involved in it will do anything to make sure it stays here,” said Producer and Director, Richard Davis.
The event wraps up tomorrow with a brunch at the Ambassador.
