Demolition of McBride Viaduct scheduled for first week of December, CPR still considering appeal

Local News

PennDOT and the city of Erie are moving forward with plans to demolish the McBride Viaduct and are looking to start in the first week of December.

That action comes following a Thursday meeting with the parties and the contractor.  They decided to move forward after a federal judge dismissed efforts by the group, Erie CPR (Connect + Respect) to get a permanent demolition injunction in court.

The group is still considering an appeal to the federal 3rd District Court of appeals in Philadelphia.
