Dinner held for Team Rubicon members

Local News

Team Rubicon has been in our area for the past few weeks digging folks out from under that record snowfall.  Sunday night, a dinner was held to thank the team members.

Erie County Council Member Kathy Fatica and State Representative Ryan Bizzarro put on the dinner for the team at the Ringside Restaurant.  30 members of Team Rubicon have been in Erie for the past several weeks, some of the members coming from as far as 400 miles away.  Team Rubicon identifies itself as a veteran service organization that uses disaster response to help reintegrate veterans back into civilian life.

Fatica says, “They have been here helping people that really need help and getting help from out from under all that snow, so this is the least we can do for them”.

Mathieu Sanders of Team Rubicon says, “Erie is just an amazing community. Team Rubicon has done a lot of work over a lot of areas and Erie has been so welcoming”.

Several citations were handed out from Erie County Council and Representative Bizzarro thanking Team Rubicon and a proclamation was read from Millcreek Township Supervisors.
