Doctor accused of assaulting two 7-year-olds has license suspended

A doctor at an Erie medical practice accused of assaulting two seven-year-old boys is no longer working for Primary Health Network.  Dr. Hisham Shawish was employed by Primary Health Network of Sharon and worked at the Wayne Primary Health Office on East Avenue until recently. 

Shawish was charged by Hermitage Police with two counts of indecent assault and two counts of corruption of minors on February 6th, but Shawish was suspended by Primary Health as soon as they found out about the charges.  

Shawish’s medical license was suspended by the State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs on April 25th.  He awaits trial in Mercer County Court.
