Downtown business owners are getting creative and soon you’ll see the difference.
The Erie Downtown Partnership is pursuing the design and construction of welcoming gateways at key intersections throughout downtown. The plan is to create a sense of space and clearly define the various districts of downtown Erie, such as the Perry Square District, the Rennaisance District, and the Arts & Entertainment District.
The idea is to build amenities that make downtown more walkable, bikeable, and safer. The partnership is holding a series of meetings tonight and tomorrow to collect ideas.
The urban design firm Roth Marz is designing the gateways. If you’d like to learn more or offer your suggestions, there are two more meetings tomorrow morning.
