Drug bust recovers 59 bags of heroin and less than one gram of fentanyl in Jamestown, NY

Jamestown Police have released a statement with the details of a drug bust from the area last night.  The operation recovered 59 bags of heroin, less than one gram of fentanyl, cash, and suboxone strips.

Police report that they obtained a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of illegal narcotics in Jamestown.  Investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, along with the NYSP K9, conducted the search at 196 Barrett Avenue at 10:55pm last night.  Entry was made by SWAT team members of the JPD.

A man named Lynn Jackson, 39, was found in the residence and is being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal using drug paraphernalia.  Jackson was taken to the city jail where he is currently awaiting arraignment.  

Jamestown Police ask that anyone who has information on the sale of illegal narcotics in the area contact the anonymous tip line at 716-483-TIPS (8477) or via the Tips 411 app.
