A young Eagle Scout giving back to an organization with the help of his troop.
Boy Scout Troop 182 spent their Saint Patrick’s Day building shelving for the Erie Neighborhood Art House. The project, led by Eagle Scout Deven Abbott not only serves as a service project for the scout, but is also a way for him to give back to an organization that was there for him growing up.
Deven says, “They can store whatever they need because it looked like they really needed it, and that’s what they asked me to do for my Eagle project. Because I wanted to do something to help out a community that really helped me out when I was younger.”
Abbott’s parents also decided to help out, bringing some of their coworkers along to pitch in.
