The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority has received a record number of grant applications for funding.
Thirty applications from several local community assets were submitted requesting a total of $330,000. ECGRA’s Community Asset Review Panel met today to go over the grant applications and score the requests based on several items.
“They are scored on a sliding scale of one to five on things like the benefit to the community [and] public openness,” says Perry Wood, Executive Director of ECGRA. “So, it is an objective way to decide who gets the funds and where they go.”
Wood says 12-15 organizations will benefit from this round of funding.
