The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority votes to keep its lobbying group… at least for now. ECGRA Board Members meeting today with ECGRA staff with one topic on the table: whether or not to keep Ridge Policy Group.
To date, ECGRA has paid Ridge Policy Group $84,000. Board members debating whether or not to give the group more time to show results. The board voting six to three to continue with Ridge Policy Group on the condition of a reset, meaning they want to meet with the lobbyists and set up a strategic plan.
Kathy Wyrosdick, ECGRA Board Member, says, “I wanted a reset so we can have that discussion. After that meeting, we will have a better understanding of whether or not we will move ahead with Ridge Policy Group”.
The vote in favor of retaining Ridge Policy Group means ECGRA will continue on with a month-to-month agreement.
