ECGRA gives $100,000 grant to consolidate services in North East

Local News

It’s a $100,000 grant from Erie County’s Gaming Revenue Authority to help consolidate services between North East borough and North East township.

Those dollars will help consolidate service between water and sewer services currently provided separately to borough and township residents.  It will also help fund plans to create a combined police commission that will let borough police patrol all of the township, a key step in what could be further consolidation.

Gaming monies have also helped fund other consolidation projects in Erie, Millcreek, Corry, and Girard, among others.
