Each Thursday night in July, Edinboro University main campus will host ‘Movies Under the Stars’.

The shows will begin at 9pm on the lawns behind the Frank G. Pogue Student Center, 405 Scotland Road.  Attendance and parking are free.  Guests can park in the lot across from the McComb Fieldhouse or next to the Baron-Forness Library.

This comes after the success of a similar program offered at the Porreco campus.  Jason Spangenberg, Finance Director of the Borough of Edinboro says, “What better way to bring the Borough, the University, and the community together than to have free, family-friendly outdoor movies on the beautiful EU campus? I look forward to making this an annual tradition for the Edinboro community.”

The schedule will be as follows:

  • Thursday, July 5th:   ‘Finding Nemo’
  • Thursday, July 12th:  ‘Little Mermaid’
  • Thursday, July 19th:  ‘Ghostbusters’
  • Thursday, July 26th:  ‘The Lion King’

In the case of inclement weather, the film series will be held in the Scot Cinema of the Pogue Student Center, which is limited to the first 75 moviegoers.
